MARGAO: Peter Quadros has resigned from his position as Sarpanch of Village Panchayat Raia after completing a one-year term. His resignation was formally announced on Wednesday.

Quadros submitted his resignation to the Directorate of Panchayat, explaining that his decision was based on an internal agreement within the ruling group. He was elected unopposed as the Sarpanch on September 22 last year, following the resignation of Judas Quadros, who previously held the position. “Our ruling group had a mutual understanding that I would serve as Sarpanch for one year,” said Quadros. The 11 members of the Raia panchayat will soon elect a new Sarpanch.
