PANJIM: Congress on Saturday demanded that the BJP-led government should release a Report Card in the form of White Paper on their governance since 2012.
In a press statement, Congress senior leader Ramakant Khalap said the successive Governments headed by former CM Late Manohar Parrikar, Laxmikant Parsekar and incumbent CM Pramod Sawant have the rare distinction of receiving “Certificates of Corruption” from Goa Lokayukta.

“People of Goa are fully aware of the misdeeds of the most corrupt, insensitive and arrogant BJP Government who have ruined the State,” he said.
“We demand that BJP Government must stop the blame game and present its report card in the form of White Paper from 2012 till date,” the former Union Minister said.
Khalap also demanded that the Chief Minister should show courage and order inquiry into all 21 cases reported by Lokayukta.
The Senior Congress leader charged that late Manohar Parrikar’s haughtiness and obstinacy in abruptly closing mining in Goa and later not opposing continuation of closure of mines in the Supreme Court, is the cause of present economic chaos.
He was reacting to the statement of BJP leader Adv Narendra Sawaikar who tried to turn the tables on the Congress after GPCC president Girish Chodankar exposed with documentary evidence former CM late Manohar Parrikar of misleading the people of Goa on Rs 35,000 crore mining scam and non-existing PAC report.
“Congress has nothing to hide and we are repeatedly demanding that the Chief Minister must release White Paper on Financial Status of Goa, Mhadei, COVID pandemic, coal handling, and three linear projects. Let the people of Goa know the truth with facts and figures,” he said.
Khalap said it is a well-known fact that Goa Lokayukta had sent 21 reports citing corruption in various departments and projects involving the Chief Minister, cabinet ministers and other functionaries of the government and had urged the government to conduct detailed investigation through CBI and other agencies.
“Unfortunately, the Chief Minister has not acted on the same till date,” he said.
