The junction, situated near the Betki-Amona bridge, is considered a major accident black spot due to its sharp bends, steep gradients, merging traffic and the heavy movement of trucks and other commercial vehicles. Locals say the combination of these factors has led to frequent crashes, raising serious concerns about public safety.

Among the primary demands is the installation of a traffic island to streamline vehicle movement and minimize the risk of collisions. Residents believe the measure would significantly improve traffic management at the busy intersection.
