PONDA: Tensions flared in Shiroda following the commencement of work on a mobile tower near the residential area of Mhaisal, Shiroda. Villagers protested the installation, halting the work due to concerns over potential health risks.

A group of residents gathered at the site and prevented workers from continuing their tasks, citing fears that the tower could pose health hazards. In response, police, led by Police Inspector Vijaynath Kavlekar, were swiftly dispatched to the location to defuse the situation.
The locals demanded that the tower be relocated away from residential properties and even proposed an alternative site for its construction. They argued that there was already an existing tower in the vicinity, making the need for another unnecessary.
It has been reported that the mobile service provider had obtained the necessary government approval to install the tower on government land at Mhaisal, Shiroda.
