MARGAO: Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco has urged the government to get the payment started for the retired seafarers and the widows of seafarers under the Goa Welfare/Pension Scheme immediately as it is due since October 2019.
“The beneficiaries were receiving Rs 2500 per month and according to an estimate there are around 2500 people intended for the aforesaid Goa Welfare/Pension Scheme for Seafarers”, he stated.
