PANJIM: Revolutionary Goans (RG) launched its women’s wing, Stree Kranti on Thursday with the aim of bringing together women from across Goa and providing them with opportunities to develop personally and professionally.
Speaking on the occasion, RG Supremo, Manoj Parab said this women’s wing was being launched for the purpose of women empowerment.

“Fifty-one per cent of the voters in Goa are women voters and yet nothing much is done for them. Self-help groups are barely provided any training, no ladies-only buses and helpline to report harassment….these are some of the many issues that need to be looked into. We have a vision document for women. The Stree Kranti campaign will be launched after the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi,” he said.
“Women today are not only ruling States and countries but excelling at it. Having said that, it’s only natural that we would like to encourage women to take up leadership roles and walk at par with us,” Manoj added.
