VASCO: The Verna Police on Tuesday registered a case against Sancoale panchayat member Tulshidas Naik for allegedly obstructing a government official and damaging official documents.
The complaint was filed by gram sevak and acting panchayat secretary Orville Vales, who in his complaint stated that during the special meeting of the panchayat on Tuesday, Naik allegedly obstructed him from performing his official duties and attempted to tear a government document.
The police have registered a case against Naik under Sections 221 of BNS and section 3 of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property (PDPP) Act. PSI Anand Gaonkar is conducting investigation under the guidance of PI Melson Colaco.
