VASCO: The JMFC, Vasco, has granted bail to Sancoale panch Tulsidas Naik who was arrested for allegedly obstructing a government official from performing duties and damaging official documents.
The court has ordered Naik to furnish a personal bond of Rs 10,000 with one surety of the like amount.
The Verna Police had registered a case against Tulsidas Naik for allegedly obstructing government official (Panchayat Secretary) from doing his official duty and damaging official documents.
The complaint was filed by gram sevak and acting panchayat secretary Orville C Vales, who in his complaint stated that during the special meeting of the panchayat on Tuesday, Naik allegedly obstructed him from performing his official duties and attempted to tear a government document.
The police have registered a case against Naik under Sections 221 of BNS and Section 3 of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property (PDPP) Act. PSI Anand Gaonkar is conducting the investigation under the guidance of PI Melson Colaco.
