MARGAO: Sharmila Asolkar, 42, resident of Khairikate, Sanguem suffered injuries in a collision between a car and a scooter at Fatorda yesterday.
In a complaint lodged with the police, bike rider Asusha Arolkar stated that the alleged accused Yeva Vaz, drove her car in a rash and negligent manner near Mahavir Stationery at the SGPDA Market, Fatorda, Margao and dashed against her Activa scooter kocking them down.

Due to the impact, Sharmila who was the pillion rider fell off the bike and in the process, her right leg was trapped under the wheels of the car and she suffered severe injuries.
Based on the complaint, police have registered an offence under Sections 279, 338 of IPC against Yeva Vaz. No arrests were made but after the panchanama, both vehicles were shifted to the Fatorda Police Station for inspection.
