In a significant development for Santa Cruz, the Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) head office at Cujira has officially come under the jurisdiction of Santa Cruz village. The Authority issued a formal notification of the address change in June 2025, bringing an end to a long-standing issue.
Panchayat member Inacio Domnic Pereira, who pursued the matter for nearly a year, hailed the decision as a proud moment for the village and constituency. He also expressed gratitude to SAG Additional Director Geeta Nagvekar for her steadfast support in securing this recognition.
