MARGAO: Saying that son Shallom is interested in contesting the April 12 Lok Sabha poll, sitting MP Francisco Sardinha on Sunday said that his blessings with always be with his son if he contests the poll.
“Shallom is interested in contesting the poll. My blessings will be with my son if he decides to contest the election,” Sardinha said, while addressing his supporters at his Curtorim residence on Sunday.
When newsmen later reminded him that former PWD Minister, Churchill Alemao too has disclosed plans to contest the coming poll, Sardinha said time will tell who will contest the election.
Earlier, while addressing his workers, Sardinha said “Our person will stand for election. I have no doubt that you will vote for him”.
Shallom, who also addressed the supporters, had been on record saying that he would contest the coming poll as an Independent candidate.
In fact, he has been covering a lot of ground in South Goa, ever since the Congress nominated Reginaldo Lourenco for the party ticket.
