PORVORIM: With focus on promoting Goa as a preferred Information Technology (IT) destination, the revamped IT policy and the schemes offered under the StartUp policy, which is already notified, will be rolled out before end of the ongoing financial year, IT Minister Rohan Khaunte announced on Friday.
The minister said that the proposed IT Park at Chimbel and Electronic System Design and Manufacturing Park (ESDM) at Tuem will create employment opportunity to nearly 10,000 persons at the beginning. “In next two-three months, the plot allotments will commence at IT Park and ESDM,” he said.
“With the kind of IT policy we will be offering along with schemes for StartUps, we are sure that the immediate brain drain will stop. We want to promote Goa as a preferred IT destination,” Khaunte said.
