Authorities have imposed a ban on gatherings of four or more individuals within a 4-kilometre radius of the Goa Meat Complex in Usgao, Ponda, effective until June 10, 2025. The order was issued under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (B.N.S.S.) to maintain public order in the area.
The move follows a formal request from the Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Ponda, citing concerns over potential disturbances in the vicinity. The prohibition aims to prevent any unlawful assembly or breach of peace.
