MARGAO: A 71-year-old senior citizen died due to electrocution in Cuncolim on Friday.
McDonald David Dias, a resident of Cullwado, Cuncolim died in the afternoon behind his residence, after being electrocuted.
Police learnt about the incident after getting a call from an anonymous caller regarding the incident.
Police reached the site of incident and saw McDonald lying lifeless. The deceased is said to have been doing carpentry work behind his house and may have been electrocuted there.
The foot of the deceased was also found to be hurt by the wood cutter he was using. Some also opine that the deceased may have died due to blood loss from the wound.
Police are awaiting the post mortem report for confirming cause of his death.
