The Nagarkurnool police in Telangana have apprehended Ramati Satyanarayana, suspected of being a serial killer involved in the murders of 11 individuals across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. A native of Nagarkurnool, Satyanarayana allegedly deceived victims by promising to unearth hidden treasures through black magic rituals he claimed to have learned from his elders. He would lure victims, conduct fake rituals, and then brutally murder them, often by poisoning them with substances disguised as holy water.
The investigation began on November 26 when a woman reported her husband, Venkatesh, missing after he left to meet Satyanarayana in Nagarkurnool. The police intensified their efforts after the woman and her family approached them. Satyanarayana confessed to the murders during questioning, revealing a pattern of deceit and brutality that spanned three years.
The suspect’s modus operandi involved promising to reveal hidden treasures in exchange for money, often leading victims to isolated locations where he committed the murders. The police are continuing their investigation into this disturbing series of crimes.
