PANJIM: The Special Court under the Prevention of Corruption Act has adjourned to August 16 the order on whether lawyer-activist Aires Rodrigues is entitled to a copy of the report filed by Crime Branch seeking to close the Serula Comunidade cheating and land grab case against Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar.
Rodrigues, the complainant in the case, had submitted before Judge B P Deshpande that he was entitled to a copy of the closure report as he wants to oppose the ‘malafied move’ by CB to shield the minister.
In his complaint, Rodrigues had drawn the court’s attention that 599 sq mt of prime land on the Chogm Road at Porvorim was given to Parulekar without any auction and without following the procedure contemplated under the Code of Comunidades and that the intention was to fraudulently facilitate doling out of the land to the minister.
