VASCO: After 40 years, the residents of New Vaddem have a reason to cheer as the work of the sewerage system will begin shortly.
The first step towards the same was taken on Thursday, after an area of 120 square metres for setting up a pumping station at New Vaddem was identified.
“This land has been donated to us by Cosme Araujo on my personal request. The work of laying a sewerage line and a pumping station will commence soon. New Vaddem is a rocky area and pits cannot absorb sewerage water, the septic tanks have started overflowing. And to resolve this issue is to connect the households to the sewerage system,” said Dabolim MLA Mauvin Godinho.
