“The Goa IPB is going to be one of the biggest frauds on the State and its people. It is going to be special purpose vehicle to generate election funds for BJP,” Naik said addressing media persons.
The Congress MP said that the investment promotion policy spoke of transparency of board activities; however, till date there is not even a website to list projects approved by it. “This itself gives clear indication that the board is more interested in underhand dealings than any clear and transparent dealings,” he alleged.
“The IPB would be the most high profile fraud that the government would be committing to make these projects as an ideal special purpose vehicle for printing notes for funding BJP election,” Naik said.
Demanding transparency in IPB functioning, Naik urged the government to make public details of the applications, cost and types of projects, land availability, land conversions, job generations, etc.
