VASCO: Irked over the haphazard parking, the residents of Shantinagar in New Vadem on Wednesday submitted memorandum signed by over 50 people to Mormugao Deputy Collector and Vasco Traffic Cell inspector. Locals have urged authorities to intervene and solve it.
In their letter, the locals have stated that since past two years they are facing problem regarding free commotion on the main road in their area which is around 4 metres wide and around 200 metres in length.
Further, they have complained that during medical emergency, movement of heavy vehicles such as buses on this main road, it becomes difficult for vehicles to pass through this road. Four-wheelers and two-wheelers which are parked on the roadside are parked by unknown persons from other area which further complicates the situation.
