PANJIM: The October month recorded 19 fatal accidents out of total 281 accidents across different parts of Goa.
As per the monthly data released by the Directorate of Transport for the month of October 2019, out of 281 road accidents 19 were fatal (North Goa–9 and South Goa–10), 17 grievous (NG–7 and SG–10), 76 were minor accidents (NG–24 and SG–52) whereas 169 were non-injury accidents (NG–95 and SG–74).
The total number of persons who lost their lives in road accidents were 19 of whom 13 were riders, 1 pillion rider, two drivers and three pedestrians.
The data further reveals that 23 people were grievously injured while 200 suffered minor injuries.
