Ponda Police have registered an offence against three persons from Panchawadi-Shiroda on charges of threatening three girls.
According to Ponda Police, the incident occurred over a traditional pathway issue at Mattwada Mallya, Thali-Panchawadi, on Saturday evening.
Police said that the three girls, who were walking through the pathway, were stopped by the accused. The accused allegedly threatened to kill the three girls and even tried to assault them.
Earlier, about 100 villagers from Panchawadi marched to the Ponda Police station demanding action against the accused.
The villagers have claimed it to be a molestation case however, investigation by police revealed that the three girls were threatened by the accused for using the traditional pathway.
