PANJIM: Goa Shiv Sena on Friday called on Governor Dr Mridula Sinha demanding the dismissal of the Manohar Parrikar led coalition government terming it as ‘sick’.
Sena’s local unit led by Jitesh Kamat submitted a memorandum signed by 5000 people across the State demanding that the State Legislative Assembly be dissolved as administration has come to standstill in absence of the Chief Minister.
“We met the Governor and demanded that the Assembly be dissolved as there is no governance and no one is in a position to form a stable govt,” Kamat told reporters.
“Shiv Sena has undertaken a signature campaign against bad government of Goa. Two Ministers are bed ridden due to their mysterious illness and Chief Minister is also not keeping well and making frequent visits to hospital,” the memorandum submitted to the Governor states. Kamat added, “It is a matter of shame for Goa that cabinet meetings are being held in hospitals now.”
