MARGAO: At the South Goa District Road Safety Committee meeting chaired by the District Collector, members discussed the stray cattle menace and the need for CCTV surveillance.
Representatives of Directorate of Municipal Administration and Directorate of Panchayats would be called to discuss steps to tackle stray cattle and encroachments on footpaths and roads as it is having an impact on road safety in South Goa. An action plan will be drawn up at the other meeting, to put in place CCTV cameras with Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC).
