Sonia voted out as Guirdolim sarpanch

MARGAO: Guirdolim Sarpanch Sonia Dias e Fernandes was voted out of office on Tuesday and Deputy Sarpanch Flavia D’Costa would be taking charge as sarpanch. Five members of the panchayat had moved a vote of no confidence against Sonia on grounds that she was not taking them into confidence.  The five who moved the no confidence are Milagres Gonsalves, Vince Peixote, Balu Nistani, Agnelo Crasto and Maura D’Costa. Sonia and the deputy sarpanch Flavia D’Costa did not attend the meeting.
