Representatives from the South Goa Water Sports Association are fearful that the government is planning to hand over the water sports business to corporates, thereby endangering their livelihoods, by bringing in a jetty policy under the guise of ease of doing business.
The operators have requested the government to allow them to resume water sports activities in the South. The locals also demanded that the government consider all stakeholders before finalizing a new tourism policy stating that they will also oppose the tourism booths.
