Special POCSO Court Sentences Man to 12 Years for Raping Specially-Abled Girl

A Special POCSO Court has convicted a man for raping a specially-abled girl and sentenced him to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment. The court also found him guilty under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, awarding an additional two-year jail term.

The case was registered and investigated by Maina Curtorim PI Arun Dessai in July 2023. The court’s judgment brings the total sentence to 12 years, marking a significant step toward justice for the survivor.
