PANJIM: The PG Department of Commerce at Government College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Quepem, in collaboration with the Directorate of Higher Education, will host a one-day state-level workshop titled “Tourism Transformations: Fostering Sustainable Entrepreneurial Ecosystems” on January 10.
The event will focus on how tourism can drive employment, foster entrepreneurship, and contribute to sustainable development in Goa.
The workshop will be inaugurated by Minister of Social Welfare, Subhash Phal Desai and the keynote address will be delivered by General Manager of Goa Tourism Development Corporation, Gavin Dias.
The event will feature three technical sessions, starting with research paper presentations that explore the link between tourism and entrepreneurship, focusing on sustainable practices. The final session will be an interactive panel discussion, offering insights from experts on current trends, challenges, and opportunities within Goa’s tourism sector.
Notable speakers and panelists include Prof. Irfan Mirza, Director of V.M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education, Mark Anthony Mendes, and Deepak Narvekar, among others.
