The Supreme Court, by a brief order, declined to grant interim relief to a developer against the judgment of the Bombay High Court at Goa dated June 23, 2025, in the matter of the Outline Development Plans (ODPs) of five coastal villages in Bardez taluka.
By its earlier order dated July 22, 2025, the Supreme Court had refused to stay the High Court judgment during hearings on special leave petitions (SLPs) filed by the Goa government and the Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department. Instead, the apex court had passed a status quo order.

The August 18, 2025 order came on an SLP filed by a real estate company involved in the construction of 337 flats across three projects in Candolim and Arpora. These projects have come to a standstill due to the Bombay High Court judgment and the Supreme Court’s status quo order.
