A suspected Pakistani drone incursion was reported along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district after drones were sighted near Keso Mahansan village in the Ramgarh sector. Authorities immediately sounded a high alert and initiated countermeasures. Separately, a drone-like object was spotted hovering for nearly ten minutes over Degwar village in Poonch around 7.30 pm, prompting the Indian Army to fire a few rounds to neutralise it. Security forces remain on heightened alert as further details are awaited. This marks the third such drone sighting from across the border in recent days. Earlier, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi said India has Pakistan “on notice” over repeated UAV movements, adding that such activity is unacceptable. He stressed that the Army remains fully prepared to counter any future misadventure.
