VASCO: Random swab collection drive was carried out in Mormugao Municipal Council Ward Number 21, at Gajashree Vidhyalaya, New Vaddem, on Monday.
Around 50 swab samples were collected by the Directorate of Health Services staff. Ward Councillor Yatin Kamurlkar expressed his gratitude to Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho for arranging the drive considering the present situation of increase in number of positive cases in the locality.

The councillor informed that the random swab collection drive was carried out under the supervision of Dr Rajendra Borkar, Health officer, Chicalim Sub District Hospital.
Kamurlkar urged his ward residents to maintain social distancing, avoid moving out of the house unnecessarily, compulsorily wearing of face masks, regularly sanitising the hands and avoiding social gatherings.
Meanwhile, when contacted Dr Borkar informed that his team managed to undertake swab sample collection of around 50 persons at New Vaddem and around 60 swab samples were sent to Chicalim Sub District Hospital for testing.
