VASCO: The South Western Railway (SWR) is offering training on trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Machinist, Welder and Computer Applications free of cost at Basic Training Centre, Carriage and Repair Workshop, Hubballi and Mysuru and Multi-Disciplinary Training Centre Institute, Bengaluru under Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana, a programme under aegis of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY).

In a press release, the SWR stated that a training of first batch for each trade has started and will conclude on October 5. Training of second batch for each trade will start on October 18 and end on November 9. The certificate to trainees will be provided by Ministry of Railways at the end of the course.
