Temple desecration:cops return with accused

Accused Kavesh Gosavi who was taken to Ahmedabad for brain mapping had to be returned back to the State as the authorities there insisted that they cannot accept an accused in police custody for the test.
Faced with no option, a police team returned back to Goa with the accused and approached the court for judicial custody of the accused. It was only after the court remanded the accused to judicial custody, the team headed for Ahmedabad with the accused for the brain mapping test.
Maina Curtorim PI Sidhant Shirodkar, who has been deputed by the Goa Police to Ahmedabad, is camping in Gujarat, waiting for the authorities to conduct the brain test.
Gosavi was arrested by the Cuncolim police last week and later handed over to the Crime branch for investigations into the temple desecration case. This is the third time that Gosavi has been arrested by the Goa police in connection with the spate of temple desecration case that has taken place in the state in the last one year.
