Unidentified thieves carried out a midnight burglary in Volvonem, Tivim, breaking into a general store and a liquor shop and making off with more than ₹60,000 in cash and goods.
According to local sources, the culprits also attempted to break into the nearby post office and vandalised several parked two-wheelers before fleeing the scene.
