PONDA: The JMFC Ponda on Tuesday remanded accused taxi driver Ashish Suresh Naik to three days police custody, who was involved in a threatening case, for sending threat text messages to the Chief Minister and four other politicians including Goa Forward Party Vice President Durgadas Kamat.

Kamat alleged criminalisation of Goa by the BJP. He said, “Accused taxi driver Naik arrested by Ponda Police for threatening the Chief Minister is an active BJP worker. Goa BJP Chief Sadanand Tanavade should clarify on the issue whether he is suspended from the party or still a member of the party.”
Kamat congratulated Ponda Police Station Police Inspector Mohan Gaude for cracking the case.
