MAPUSA: Three policemen were injured when a mentally unsound person attacked them with a knife, at the Bodgeshwar Zatra, on Wednesday. He was immediately arrested and taken into custody.
At around 5.30pm on Wednesday the Ayush Manoj Naik, Naikawado, Calangute, started disturbing the cultural programme

He is said to have charged where some adults and children’s were participating.
He also brandished a knife and charged towards the children’s who were present for the program
On seeing this, alert policemen rushed to stop him
At that time Ayush Manoj Naik attacked the police.
Sharad Halgi of Calangute Police Station, Ritesh Mahale of Anjuna Police Station, And Vithal Naroji of Panjim Police Station were injured in the incident.
Vithal Naroji and Sharad Halgi were referred to GMC Bambolim after giving first aid at District Hospital Mapusa.
