MAPUSA: Colvale Police nabbed one Jitendra Shankar Toraskar (40), resident of Palni Wado, Tivim and recovered two cars, three motorbikes, one scooter, and vehicle engines.
According to police, on January 29, one Vinayak Shankar Kadam, native of Kolhapur, reported at Colvale Police Station that an unknown person committed theft of his FZS Yamaha motorbike, which he had parked at Tivim.

In this connection, Colvale Police registered an offence under Section 379 of Indian Penal Code and recovered the stolen motorbike from the accused.
Along with the motorbike, the police also recovered two cars with fake number plates and no documents, three motorcycles without number plates and chassis numbers damage and scratched, one scooter without documents and seven engines dumped in the garage and two petrol tanks of motorcycles.
“The seized property is worth Rs 6.5 lakh approximately,” claimed the police.
Police are further investigating the case.
