VASCO: In a shocking incident, a one-and-a-half-year-old girl drowned in the sea at Kharewada, Vasco on Thursday evening.
According to the Vasco police, the child while playing outside her house suddenly went towards the sea and got drowned. However, some locals noticed her in waters and retrieved her. She was taken to the hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.
On getting the information, the police rushed to the spot and conducted panchanama. The body was sent to the Hospicio South Goa District Hospital, Margao, for autopsy.
