VASCO: Despite the traffic officials and RTO manning the route, vehicular congestion seems to be a regular feature for the motorists commuting along the Agassaim and Cortalim Junction.
The people have complained that traffic police and RTO get busy in issuing challans at Cortalim and Agassaim on the traffic violators for overtaking, wrong way driving, over-speeding and so on but there is no solution to traffic congestion.
Since past two days, the technicians were busy installing CCTV cameras at the various spots on Zuari Bridge to catch hold of the traffic rule violators.
To know the ground reality of the issue, when contacted Vasco Traffic Cell staff, on condition of anonymity informed that RTO and traffic police at Cortalim Junction impose fine on the traffic violators only to streamline the traffic flow.
