In a tragic incident, a cleaner of a truck died on the railway tracks after he came crashing down from a moving Ro Ro rail service.
The incident is believed to have occurred at around 12.30 pm on Sunday when the cleaner fell down from the moving Ro Ro train. It was only when the train reached Canacona that it became known that the cleaner Jagdish has gone missing.
Inquires later revealed that the cleaner was lying dead on the tracks at the Balli stretch of the Konkan Railway route.
PSI Hiru Kavlekar said a case of unnatural death has been registered. Further inquiries are on.
