Donald Trump on Thursday declared that the United States is close to achieving its objectives in the ongoing conflict with Iran, claiming American forces have secured “overwhelming victories” in the war.

In his first national address since the start of the conflict, delivered from the Cross Hall of the White House, Trump stated that military operations under “Operation Epic Fury” have significantly weakened Iran’s offensive capabilities.

He asserted that Iran’s ability to launch missiles and drones has been “dramatically curtailed,” adding that key weapons factories and rocket launchers have been heavily targeted and destroyed over the past month.

He emphasized that the United States’ military campaign is not aimed at acquiring Iran’s vast natural resources, including oil, but is instead focused on supporting its allies.
