PANJIM: A USA-based daughter and her father are booked by Mapusa Police for forging and altering the government documents of the property owned by a housing cooperating society in Verem-Betim.
Mapusa Police said that based on the complaint of Bardez Deputy Collector the FIR has been registered against Sheryaz Lobo, Lance I Lobo and others under Sections 465, 467, 468, 471, 420 read with 34 of Indian Penal Code.
Based on the complaint of the Quinta Coqueiro Cooperative Housing of Betim-Verem, the deputy collector had verified the records after checking with the Town and Country Planning department and it has found that the documents which are used by Lobo were forged and not issued by the department.
The complaint of the residents claims that Lobo is a Betim-based builder and had attempted to grab 1979 sq meters of land which is owned by the society.
