Two couples from Arpora rescued

PERNEM: Dhrishti lifeguards on Sunday rescued two couples hailing from Arpora, who got stranded in a rocky area at Keri beach.

According to sources, the two couples had walked along the rocky area of Keri beach towards the sweet lake, Arambol during low tide. However, while they returning back to Keri, the water level increased due to high tide and they found it difficult to walk back to the beach.

Sensing danger, the couple cried for help. 

Meanwhile, the lifeguards on duty spotted the two couples in distress and alerted the Keri tower for backup. The local police and fire station were also informed.

The team of lifeguards rushed to the spot and rescued the two couples. 

The lifeguard on duty Girish Talkar was assisted by lifeguards Vikram, Dhako and Virendra.
