Kakoda police have arrested two men for allegedly setting fire to a garage and a Maruti Suzuki Ciaz near Polytechnic College, Vodlemol, causing estimated damages of around INR 1.6 lakh. The incident reportedly took place between the night of September 22 and the early hours of September 23, 2025.
The accused, Soham Naik, a resident of Kakoda, and Ramesh Naik from Xeldem, were taken into custody on the same day of the incident. According to police sources, both individuals were identified through a combination of CCTV footage from nearby areas and eyewitness accounts from locals.

The police received multiple distress calls early on September 23 after the fire broke out, and authorities rushed to the scene to bring the blaze under control. Firefighters were able to contain the fire before it spread to adjacent properties. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, though the car and garage suffered significant damage.
