A motorcycle rider and a pillion rider were injured when they were knocked down by a tanker near Karaswada junction on Friday afternoon.
According to Mapusa police, the accident occurred when Subhash Gadi (45) and pillion rider Balkrishna Gawas (48) were proceeding from Mapusa towards Dodamarg on their motorcycle.
On reaching near Karaswada junction, they were knocked down by a tanker, which was proceeding towards Colvale.
Both the injured persons sustained grievous injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital.
