Two Tourists Killed in Tragic Bambolim Highway Crash as Tanker Jumps Divider and Hits Car

A tragic accident occurred around 1 a.m. on the Bambolim Highway when a tanker reportedly lost control while descending a slope, jumped over the road divider, and collided head-on with a rent-a-car traveling in the opposite direction.

The impact of the crash was devastating, leaving the car completely mangled and resulting in the deaths of two tourists on the spot. One of the victims has been identified as 52-year-old Yogender Singh from Delhi, who was driving the vehicle.

Police and emergency services immediately rushed to the site, and the bodies were shifted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim, for post-mortem examination.

Preliminary investigations suggest that overspeeding and loss of control of the tanker may have led to the fatal accident. The police have registered a case and further investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the mishap.
