University exams for undergraduates in June

PANJIM: The Goa University has decided to conduct the exams of its undergraduate programmes in affiliated colleges in June.

The exams, which were slated to begin from April 6, were postponed in the wake of nationwide lockdown.

Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, on Tuesday, held meeting with Vice Chancellor of Goa University Prof Varun Sahani, Secretary Education Nila Mohanan, which was also attended by Registrar YV Reddy and Director of Higher Education Prasad Lolienkar. 

Speaking to media persons post meeting, Sawant said that Goa University has recommended that it will conduct examinations in June. 

“The Final Year examinations will be held first, followed by First and Second year,” he said.

Sawant said that University, being an autonomous body, will take final call on the examination schedule and programme.

 “All the affiliated colleges are issued necessary directions,” he said.
