Mandrem Police Station has apprehended an individual during a raid. According to SDPO Mapusa, Jivba Dalvi, Mr. Shahid, aged 45, son of Alishan, hailing from Sabitnagar, District-Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, was taken into custody for the unlawful possession of narcotics, specifically Ganja.
The raid, executed in the early hours of May 31, 2024, at Madhalawada, Arambol Pernem, resulted in the seizure of 600 grams of Ganja from the accused. A case has been registered against him under Section 20 (b)(ii)(B) of the NDPS Act 1985, and he has been placed under arrest.
The raiding team, led by PI Sherif Jaques, comprised PSI Jugal Divkar, PSI Paresh Kale, PSI Pravin Shimepuruskar, PC Vijay Gaikwad, PC Mallesh Joodi, PC Rajesh Shirgaonkar, and PC Sarvesh Mandrekar, all from Mandrem Police Station.
Further investigation into the matter is underway under the supervision of SP North, Akshat Kaushal, IPS, and SDPO Pernem, Jivba Dalvi.
