VALPOI: The main road in Keri village and the road from Keri to Belgaum State highway are riddled with potholes and are in a bad shape and are in need of immediate repair.
Villagers had complained to the local panchayat to initiate the repair of the roads, especially where large potholes make motorists’ task arduous, but the newly-elected sarpanch and members have yet to take a call on the matter. The bad roads have not only created hardships for locals, but also led to accidents and the situation in the dark becomes all the more difficult.
Irate locals have demanded that the Public Works Department take up the issue of road repair immediately or they would hold a morcha at the PWD head office in Panjim.
