Goa Pradesh Congress Committee has set a week’s deadline for the investigating agency to ascertain the main reason behind vandalizing the night club, failing which a protest march would be organized, culminating at the Calangute police station.
Addressing a press conference, Congress’ former Calangute MLA Agnelo Fernandes demanded that police need to ascertain whether the incident was due to business rivalry or is part of an extortion attempt.
“Police need to get to the bottom of the entire incident,” Fernandes said.
Fernandes cautioned the government over the increasing attacks on night clubs and tourists spots, which is detrimental to the law and order situation in the coastal areas.
