SANGUEM: The villagers of Kalay and other surrounding have welcomed the decision of the railway authorities to halt the Vasco- Belgaum at Kalay with effect from Saturday.

Ever since the railway authorities have commenced the rail service to Belgaum from Vasco, the villagers have been demanding the halt of the Belgaum bound train at Kalay.
After several representations to the railway authorities and MP Viney Tendulkar, the villagers demand was finally accepted by the railway authorities and the train began halting at Kalay railway station from Saturday. The decision of the railway authorities was widely welcomed by the villagers.
